How do I pay at Boots & Woods?

During the order process, and before the payment, you will see an overview of your order and the total costs including shipping costs.

Each order will be send after payment has been successfully. You can pay in different ways:

  • IDEAL (This is for Rabo, ABN AMBRO, SNS, Triodos and ING/Postbank accounts etc)
  • PayPal
  • Creditcard (Mastercard and Visa)

Payments with IDEAL, Creditcard will be proceeded by Sisow, an international payment platform. They pledge and guarantee that your transaction shall be executed safely. Payment with PayPal will be provided by a platform that also pledges and guarantees your payment to be executed safely.

  • Transfer by using bank transfers

If you prefer to pay using a bank transfer, you will receive a confirmation from us with an overview of your order and our bank information. Please state your order number clearly in the bank transfer. The payment has to be completed within seven days from the order date, after payment the order will be sent to you. In case your payment will not be received by us within the above mentioned time frame, your reservation will be cancelled automatically. 

  • Payment from a foreign country

For payment processed abroad, the process is simple and the same as in The Netherlands. You can use our international bank information.

Is my payments safe at the Boots & Woods website?

How can I return an article?

Trial period

Products of Boots & Woods may be tried for up to 14 days after receipt without obligation. After this trial period the sale is closed.

Should you need to exchange for another size or different model, then this is possible, provided that the exchange/return conditions are met, (see conditions below). We kindly request you to submit any required exchange transactions via e-mail [email protected]   In addition we kindly request to fill out the enclosed return slip on which you should clearly specify, whether another model or different size is required.

Returning your order

It may occur that your order does not meet your satisfaction. Once your order has been returned in good condition and all return conditions are met, we will refund the purchase amount to you in due course.

Procedure exchange/return:

1. Sign in your return/exchange via e-mail [email protected]

2. You will receive a retour label by email. (for printing)

3. Pack your order in the original shipping box.

4. Put the fully completed return form in the original product box.

5. Seal the shipping box well.

6. Remove the original address label on the shipping box.

7. Paste the return label visible on the shipping box.

8. Send the package off via a transport carrier of your choice (e.g. Post Office or DHL)

9. Keep the shipping document receipt for your records.

Return conditions

We cannot take back or exchange if:

  • the period of 14 days has expired.
  • articles have shown to have been worn and/or used.
  • the product shows signs of wear and tear.
  • articles in your possession are damaged.
  • the original packaging is missing.
  • the return form is missing.

Can I get a refund if I want to send the articles back?

You can always get your money back at Boots & Woods; this is the trust policy of our webshop. If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return the articles within 14 days after receiving the order.

Although this doesn’t occur often can you please mention the reason for return, so that we can further improve our products and service? As soon as we have received your returned item(s) in good condition we will refund your payment.

What can I do if a product is out of stock?

We always try to deliver your chosen boots out of our stock, as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it might happen that your size (temporarily) is sold out. In that case your size will be colored red in the size chart. As soon as you click on the "red size" button a text screen will appear which you can fill out and send to us. We will inform you as soon as possible about the delivery time for this product.

How do I order at Boots & Woods?

Step by step order:

1. If you want to order articles, you will immediately see the sizes available on stock for your favourite model. Please select your desired size and click "PLACE IN SHOPPINGBAG".

Red sizes are not in stock.

2. Then, proceed to check your order and then press the "checkout" button.

3. After this, choose "step 1"  and select your payment method..

4. In "step 2", fill in your complete name and address information. If you want a custom delivery address, please check this immediately. When you fill in your zipp code and house number correctly the street name will automatically appear. To continue click the orange button ' continue '.

5. The next step: a complete overview of your order appears and you should agree with the general terms and conditions by ticking the box. Finally to complete, click on "PLACE ORDER" and you can proceed to pay via your chosen method.

What is meant by the Goodyear sole technique?

Less than 1% of all footwear that’s worldwide sold has a sewn last. Our boots are manufactured using the Goodyear Welt © method sewn over the whole last. Unlike glued soles this gives a flexible framework to the midsole. This makes the boots more flexible and comfortable when walking without getting tired. In approximately 15 days of wearing, the boot will fit entirely to the anatomy of the foot, and not the other way around. The ventilated, waterproof cork layer between insole and outsole, gives the foot an individual form after pressing and holding the individual shape of the foot. The result is a wonderfully comfortable footbed that naturally insulates against moisture and advancing cold.

What is meant by the Sympatex © lining of the All Weather boot?

Sympatex, produced in Germany, is a breathable plastic fibre-reinforced product that is used in high performance outdoor & footwear that must be water-and windproof. The plastic Sympatex membrane is fitted in a separate process directly behind the leather of the All Weather Boot guaranteeing that the boot is waterproof. Sympatex © isn’t porous so isn’t affected by dirt or salt crystals.

Do you have boots with a wide shaft?

Different models are also available in wider shaft sizes. You can find these models under the menu item Wide Shaft models. In addition, a number of models can also be custom made to accommodate your specific calf size.

How do I take care of my boots?

All models (except model All Weather boot):

All Boots & Woods boots are made of 100% leather. Leather is porous so it can breath, it is water resistant but not waterproof. If your boots are frequently exposed to moisture, it is therefore recommended to apply a layer of natural wax on your boots every now and then. This means that they retain their beautiful shiny look; it also protects them from water and scratches. For every pair of Boots& Woods purchased you will get a free natural wax delivered. If you have boots in light colors then the use of wax should be kept to a minimum to prevent stains.

Boots of natural tanned leather (including Escala and Polo Bronce) may only be treated with natural wax.

For suede boots, a water-and dirt-repellent spray is recommended and can be maintained with a suede/nubuck brush.

Patent leather boots can be maintained with Collonil Lack Mousse; patent leather remains smooth and when applied it brings up a nice shine. Small scratches and cracks can also be eliminated.

Are your boots wet, don’t dry them by the stove or other heat source but leave them at room temperature to gradually dry up.

We recommend you use boot tensioners when storing your boots.

Model All Weather Boot

The All Weather Boot from Boots& Woods is made from the highest quality calf leather, fully lined with a plastic fibre-reinforced membrane- Sympatex © (for more information, see below), that makes them waterproof. For the best functionality of the Sympatex © lining it is important that the boots keep breathing. If your boots are often exposed to damp conditions, you can use a water repellent spray that does not affect the breathability of the leather. On the can is a HIGH-TEX © or Gore-Tex © label indicated. A good choice is Collonil Nanopro. It is important that the boots don’t have too much wax/grease or shoe polish applied and we recommend you use a neutral wax every now and then bring it on in thin layers.

How do I know if the boots fit?

You have your own foot and calf width and your personal preferences. It is our goal that your Boots & Woods boots meet your expectations and fit perfectly in both your feet and calves. Each model has a fitting indication so you can see how the boot size relates for each model: average, larger or slightly smaller. We will also provide the inner circumference of the shaft and the length of the shaft measured from the inner sole of the heel per model. Some models are also available in an extra large calf size. In most cases, it is also possible for us to stretch the shaft slightly if the shaft is too narrow.

What should I do in case of a complaint?

You can of course always contact us when you have a complaint about a product that you have purchased through the website. Please send us a clear digital photo, along with an explanation of the complaint to info@bootsandwoods.nl We will get back to you asap with a suitable solution.

What are the shipping costs for my order? 2017

Boots and Woods sends worldwide and everywhere by DHL and NL post. These costs change with regularity due to the continuous rise and fall in fuel prices.

For the following countries we apply a fixed rate. Any return shipments are for free.

All prices in our web shop are incl. VAT. When you purchase your ordered items in the web shop, you will see the shipping charge of your order.

How can I track my order?

As soon as we have received your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. When your order is shipped you will receive a second email with a track & trace code that allows you to follow your order on the PostNL or DHL internet site.

What do you do with my personal information?

We use your data exclusively to process or fulfill your order and for newsletters/mailings from Boots & Woods. We don’t provide your personal information to third parties except for PostNL or DHL that needs your delivery data for the settlement of your order.

Can I try the boots and buy them somewhere else?

You are welcome to come and try the boots of your choice at the fitting room. All models can be fitted there and you’ll be warmly welcome.

How can I return a gift card/discount code?

At Boots & Woods it is possible to hand in a gift card or discount code via our webshop.
The discount can consist of a percentage or a fixed amount. The gift card/discount code should be activated in the webshop under ‘ShoppingBag’. You would have to select 'promotional code' and then fill out your code in the top fenster. This code is in the colored surface and in the lower fenster where you can fill out the action code. The discount will be deducted in step 4 of the checkout process so the discount is not directly visible in the Shopping Bag.
